Dave Clough - singer, songwriter and entertainer
The youthful and fresh-faced singer/songwriter David Clough comes from a musical performance background.
Throughout his early years he worked alongside vocal coaches, orchestra conductors and a host of other
entertainment professionals. This experience taught him professionalism at all times when on stage.
The highlights included of opening for JLS at Stevenage’s Chicago Rock Café, gigs at the legendary York Races Dave’s early musical inspirations come from bands ranging between; Oasis, Kings of Leon, Stereophonics, Feeder, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Crowded House right through to dance music artists like Faithless and Prodigy.
In 2009, Dave got the unique opportunity to fly out to join the Solutions Group in the beautiful coastal Red Sea destination of Hurghada, Egypt. The company is the parent company for a chain of popular bars/restaurants and nightclubs within the city, including two Papas’ Bars, The Lodge Bar & Restaurant, the world’s only Hed Kandi Beach Bar and Ministry of Sound’s Beach Club
With three weekly solo performances across the Papas and Lodge venues each week, Dave developed a dedicated following amongst the ex-patriot community and the flourishing tourist trade. Alongside the regular events, Dave played a major part in headlining festival line-ups during post-Ramadan celebrations (known locally as the EID) and occasionally grabbed a microphone providing live vocals for events at Ministry of Sound and Hed Kandi club-nights.
